With Love - Mom

My Dear Sweet Winston -

Happy Valentine's Day, my love bug! I'm so sorry for busily working away on my laptop evening after evening on Scholastic & Inspired Family work!  I know you've conspired ways to get out of your crib to sneak a peak at the laptop & pound away on the keyboard to produce a blog post with your latest adventures.  We intended this to be a blog about your first year, but August & September flew by without posts & come to think of it we've already fast forwarded to February 2014!  Time is flying & you are such a big boy that Mommy & Daddy are so proud of.

Dad & I discussed wrapping up this blog with letters to you from each of us.  We promise we'll write you a letter every year on your birthday to share how much joy you've brought into our lives.  When you're all grown up, we'll give you a nice little bundle of letters to reflect on.  You bring so much love & joy into our lives every single day (yes! even the days Mommy seems like she's going to pull out her hair) & we want to celebrate you everyday!

From the moment I saw you as a blip on the ultrasound screen, to your very first kick, I fell in love with you instantly.  I knew from all the action you gave me in the womb that you'd be full of personality & brighten all of my days.  When I first set eyes on you, I was smitten from day one.  Our eyes met the instant I pulled you up and set you on my chest & you held my gaze as though you knew instantly that I was the one who talked and sang to you daily.  From that day forward, you, Daddy & I learned how to be a family together.  You've taught us so many important lessons, such as how to function on a few hours of sleep.  You've done an excellent job capturing your daily accomplishments in your very spirited blog posts with photos to last a lifetime.

As your first birthday has come and gone, you're becoming quite an adventurous little boy.  From the moment you started walking, signing & talking, our days have become much less mundane & full of exciting adventures around every corner.  Your smile and laughter lately are infectious!  Dad and I look forward to what new things you'll learn everyday.  I'm so proud of how you've adapted to going to school while Mom's at work!  I love all the wonderful artwork that you're bringing home & know that you're having so much fun with all your new friends.  I miss you terribly when I am at work, but it makes our days together that much more special.

I love you will all my heart & cannot wait for tomorrow's new adventure!  Here are some photos that you didn't get to blog about from August & September.

Love you to the moon and back!
Mommy XO
