With love -- Dad

Dear Win,

I'm writing you this note as I sit at our kitchen table, with our two mischievous dogs curled up -- peacefully for now -- in front of the dying fire, and mom quietly tapping away o
n her laptop to prepare for her first big conference.  So much has happened in the past two years, with our move from Moss Beach to Philadelphia, the purchase of our first house, your birth and all the tremendous milestones and changes you've brought to our lives.

The imprint you've already made has been profound.  And, as I scan the family room and see Win everywhere -- from your bouncy horse to "Win's Toy Alley" behind the sofa to Win's art center -- the depth of happy memories formed just in this first 16 months just in this one room is almost overwhelming.  Your mom and I have done our best to help bring you out everywhere to experience life, and been rewarded with your smiles, playful personality, and a wealth of rich experiences ourselves.

The next year promises to bring new joys and challenges -- bye bye Bolt, and hello new baby sister.  We know you're going to be a great big brother and we can't wait for the adventures that we'll have over the next year.

-Dad
